Your Camp Counsellor Team

Who's supervising your kids?

Our trainers come from English speaking countries all over the world and are all under the age of 27 so they can relate better to your kids. Over the last few years our trainers have been sourced from England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, U.S.A., Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. The majority of trainers are education, language or sports science students. This means that they have experience in their fields and they’re passionate about what they do! We have a great retention rate so most of our counsellors have worked at our camps the year before. We must be doing something right!

What is the counsellor team set up?

All camps follow a uniform management structure with several roles. Combined the team ensures an uninterrupted 24 hour care service for children at the camp.

Leader: The leader is responsible for the day to day running of the camp. They ensure everything runs smoothly with allocation of resources and with our sports partners. They are the first point of call for any incident at the camp and have a mobile that is always on them should you need to contact them. They are also responsible for running the evening activity. Leaders are older and more experienced having done at least two summers with us or another language camp company before hand. In addition to this they have the characteristics to be relied upon in the day-to-day running of the camp.

Sports Counsellor: The sports counsellor is responsible for the afternoon sports activities. He/she is in charge of the sports program running smoothly. Generally our sports counsellors are more experienced members of the team and are often also the assistant leader.

English Counsellor: English counsellors are responsible for an individual class for the duration of the camp. They are also responsible for 1 or 2 childrens rooms where they act as the room counsellor. Room counsellors are there for lights out each evening with the children and act as the children’s first point of call for any issues they might be having. This way children can form a strong partnership with their room counsellor who acts as a role model for them.
