The most effective way to learn a language… …is to live it…

Why English?

Few can argue that English is the dominant language in the world. No other language is listed as the official language of so many countries. Below we list the three key reasons why your child should learn English:

1). It is estimated that two billion people use English to communicate on a regular basis! It is also listed as the official language in more countries than any other language.

2). English is the dominant business language used worldwide and is for most global companies a pre-requisite to join part of their global workforce. With over half the world’s GDP raised in English speaking countries, English is essential for the business world.

3). The majority of the world’s most viewed and most popular books, music and films are published and produced in English. Learning the English language thus gives you the best access to the largest wealth of entertainment and literature. The same applies for the internet with over half the world’s content being produced in English

Why a Summer Camp?

Summer will soon be upon us, and you’re probably starting to think what your kids will do. Well… have you considered a Summer Camp? It shouldn’t be thought of as just an easy option, but instead the best option. Going to Summer Camp greatly assists in a child’s development. A summer camp is the perfect way for your child to experience new activities, grow in character, and most importantly, have fun! If you’re wondering about the benefits of summer camp for your child, we’ve compiled a list of all the best reasons below.

Independence and Self-Esteem

Nowhere else can children be so dramatically lifted from their usual routine. In many cases only a few (if any) friends are around them, and their parents aren’t there at all. Only Summer Camps give the unique opportunity for children to branch out and make new friends while learning new things in a positive environment. Summer Camps let them develop their independence and initiative while increasing their self-esteem.

All of this is done under the guidance and support of positive role models. Camp counsellors should be seen less by kids as “teachers” or “bosses” and more as cool, older friends. And these camp counsellors should want to help your child grow, learn, and generally have the best time ever!

Active Lifestyles

Many kids today prefer staring at their phone or playing videos games to physical activity. Camp is an environment where kids can learn to have fun being active. It'll get them out of the house and onto the sports field, or rock climbing wall, or dancing, or cooking, or out on the water! Our highly interactive program has kids living very actively from day to day!

Building Memories and friends from all over the world

Kids come away from camp having just had some of the best weeks of their lives! Inspire camps host children from all over the globe (last year we had 29 different countries represented!). Kids come away from our camps with new pals from every continent (who often become lifelong friends). They've experienced all sorts of fun activities together, and most importantly, they’ve had a great time doing so! The good memories your child will make at camp will last a lifetime.

New Interests

Because our Summer camps are packed with fun activities like horseback riding, archery, kayaking, water skiing, rafting, arts and crafts, drama and music, kids get the chance to explore interests they never knew they had. Your child might come home with a new passion! There’s nowhere else your child gets to try such a wide variety of activities in a short time! Some of us take years to realise what we like because we just never tried it when we were younger. We think giving kids the chance to find one of their passions while they’re still young is invaluable.

Appreciation for Nature

All our camps are located in the great outdoors, either surrounded by forests, parks, lakes or mountains. Kids growing up in the city will get the chance to be out amongst nature, breathing in the fresh air. This might be their only chance for the year to stare down from a mountain top, or explore a cave system that has been lived in from stone age times!

Camp Changes Lives!

We have seen countless examples of how summer camp has changed kids' lives. It's what makes us want to keep working in this awesome industry. The growth children experience as they learn to be more patient, respectful, confident and skilled is evident, as many parents can testify.
